Re: Wheatgrass juice fasting

To me, fasting on freshly extracted vegetable juices is far more beneficial than water fasting. Fresh juices are extremly easy to digest, and are packed with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and antioxidants that can really accelerate the healing process. Water has none of those.
Carefully chosen vegetables can assist the eliminative organs during a fast (ex: beet/carrot for liver, celery/cucumber for kidneys, spinach/cabbage for gut...), which is key for healing. Water doesn't stimulate bile to be released, and this could actually be a huge problem during a fast. Bile is the carrier for toxins the liver has to filter, and if no release of bile is done during a fast, the liver will literally suffocate with toxins, which are massively released when you fast.
