Re: house cleaning

To keep cleaning as natural as possible without all the chemicals and fumes, I use vinegar and baking soda and sometimes the combination of them! Eases the mind a bit, and you'd be surprised what they can do. The baking soda is for where something abrasive is needed. Vinegar helps sanitize naturally (good for cutting boards, counters, and safe for the kids' areas or the dog's pen). Now you can buy large 5- to 10-pound bags of baking soda, and gallons of white vinegar are pretty cheap and available. For a great cat box cleaner, pour some white vinegar in the bottom of the empty box, dilute with some water, add half a cup or so of baking soda; it'll fizz like crazy and do a kick-a** job!! I do that with outside and inside garbage cans, too. Haven't tried it in the toilet, but I'm sure it would work, and so would Coca-Cola. Things like Bon-Ami nonabrasive cleanser (has no bleach) is what I use more for bathrooms.
