Staph Aureus is going to have a telltale golden yellow coloration to it.
What you describe could be any number of different things. It may possibly be Basal Cell Skin Cancer which is very common but nor normally considered to be aggressive.
The problem is that a skin doctor will want to do a biopsy and the biopsy only spreads it further. Scratching or picking can also cause it to spread.
As with anything made or designed by man, there are no guarantees. To the point, the only guarantees that I know of are taxes and death and those are only guaranteed if you are born alive.
