Question regarding finger infection-antibiotics usage

So..went to the doctor today after having a swollen finger for the last week. They said it had a bit of an infection, gave me Antibiotics and had me on my way. I am so scared to take Antibiotics because I have suffered greatly from candida in the past and have worked so hard to be as healthy as I am today. I was planning on starting my Antibiotics tomorrow. Tonight I was examining my finger, and noticed it was a bit discolored towards my fingernail. Unexpectedly, my finger started to drain liquid from a small separation beside my nail. I made sure to drain it of as much liquid as I could before sanitizing my finger with alcohol and bandaging it. What I'm wondering is does this mean I don't have to take antibiotics? Obviously my body is expelling this virus on its own..should I just refuse the antibiotics..is that safe?
