Re: How to make a Water Ionizer

My husband and I built a Water Ionizer following the instructions of the eHow health editor. We're wondering why after two and a half days, the Ionized Water is still at 6.5 on the PH scale while the "acid" water is at 6.25. The Ionized Water also tastes bad, somewhat metallic. We used titanium strips (not sure if it's medical grade), a 12-volt power supply, silicone gasket, a PVC coupling, and sea sponge in between the tanks. The containers are BPA-free plastic and the water had been purified by a Multi-Pure water purifier. We're wondering why it's taking so long for the Ionized Water to get to the desired range of 8.5-9.0, why the water tastes bad, and why the water in the acid tank is clear, not murky, as some DIY videos show. Could you let us know what we're doing wrong?
