Itching around the anus is definitely a sign of parsites, typically the most commonly caused by pin worms which can be difficult to eliminate if systemic. I picked up a really great tip on another thread worth sharing. Purchase some Noxema at your local pharmacy. After each bowel movement, cleanse perineal area thoroughly, including anal area, wash hands, then apply about 2 Tbsp. Noxema around the perineal floor and gently insert about 1 inch into the rectum muscle. The pinworms and larve die on contact with the menthol and Eucalyptus Oil. It works great for that pesky, irritating itch.
