Dental Woes

I have been told my poodle, Baka, needs to have 12 teeth pulled. This is devastating news. I have had his teeth cleaned twice a year and have been cleaning them with Aruvedic tooth power and/or sprayed his mouth with collodial silver or Vira Fungal Fighter (grapseed extract) every night, but I have not been able to fight this off.

He is 11 years old. He is not in pain. There is no abcess, just bone loss. He is eating OK. Most of the teeth are in the front...lower and upper...but there are probably a few others too. They have not given in a clear picture of all the teeth involved.

My question is, can I keep cleaning them and let them drop out naturally, or should I have them pulled? The hygenist says I can do it either way...but the vet says pull them. One tiny one in his lower front has fallen out already.

Loosing so many teeth all at once is devastaing...and I don't believe all of them are necessarily at the same stage.

What do you think?
