i find borax takes care of algae way better than chlorine.

i dont know why Iodine wouldnt work. i think its scare tactics. but again, to the uniodinated, it could be quite an ordeal, especially that initial soak.

i shock with chlorine and then let it evap off. i keep the chlorine so low its hard to measure in between shocks. Tweet
