A few questions on making tinctures (I promise I already did my homework!)
OK so I have read the compilation of instructions and experiences on tincturing and also read what Dr Schulze said in SYL. I have a few questions after reading all the great instructions and tips
1. Many on this forum recommend using tight fitting metal lids for the glass jar that will be used for tincturing and to avoid any paper or plastic linings because it will go right into the tincture. On other websites I have read that you shouldn't use metal lids because the alcohol will interact with the metal. It seems to me that anything with paper and plastic lining is obviously no good, but I am also wondering if there was an ideal metal for the lid to be made of such as stainless steel?
2. If the experienced tincture makers had their first choice of a tincture press that is $150 or less, which one would it be? Is this tincture press any good?:

3. Confirming that it is best to use a glass funnel (as opposed to stainless steel) to get the tincture into the amber dropper bottles?
4. Does anyone have a go to glass bottle with the proper lid that they use? I saw some glass apple juice jugs at the grocery store, but couldn't tell if the inside of the lid was pure metal or not. I don't want to waste money buying juice that I won't drink to figure out what the lid is made of.
Thanks for the help!
