Re: Enema Q- How to reach different parts of the bowel?

I have been taking enemas for a long time, but I will tell you this. I use strictly a silicone 32 FR colon tube attached to my 4 quart enema bag. I believe that one of the secrets to a great cleansing enema series is relaxing and using a 30" colon tube. The large intestines from rectum to cecum is 5-5 1/2' long, but most people can get the water all the way around the transverse colon to the descending and ascending colon but the use of a 30" tube. http://www.optimalhealth.com
is a great site for instructions on just how to administer a comfortable enema using a colon tube. They recommend the use of a 30-34 FR silicone colon tube as this is the best size to use. I find the colon tube if, lubricated the first 6-8, will slide in slowly with no problem. It makes taking the enema much easier. There is no pooling of water in the rectum causing a sudden cramping and urge to evacuate. You will feel a sense of fullness however when you have taken 3-4 quarts of water. I just thought that I would add this input. I agree with everything else shared on this thread.
