Re: Outbreak of Neurological Illness of Unknown
Etiology
Newport, this is a great find. It's good to know there is a registry of bromide poisoning and we could track down incidences if we wanted.
What's disturbing is that the people had to be so sick before there was a public health intervention. If people are just mildly lethargic and depressed, no one would have noticed. They would have been stigmatized as lazy.
I've just recently come across a woman who drinks six bromide-filled Mountain Dews a day and takes anti-depressants. Does she take the anti-depressants because of the Mountain Dew?
A couple of our Curezoners reported dark thoughts on Mountain Dew.
Is there enough bromide in a six pack of Mountain Dew to equal that anti-seizure medicine potassium bromate?

Can we measure the amount of bromide in Mountain Dew or the other drinks? Then we would know if the dosage compares with bromide anti-seizure meds given to dogs. Can anybody find out the exact extent the beverage companies are medicating people? We need the exact amount of brominated vegatable oil. Somebody must have looked into this, no?
This would be a great investigation for us.
