Re: Want to do Liver Flush. Is it necessary to consume 4tbs. of Epsom salt?
Hello,
I'm not sure if I'm tto late to reply to this, but I'd like to share my experience. I've done over 16 flushes now, and each time, I feel my life has changed in a profoundly positive way. I'd like to add that I tried so hard to heal my body naturally, without these interventions, and I'm afraid I think it is idealistic to say that everyone can do so. i could have saved myself years and years of pain by coming to colonics and liver cleansing earlier, instead of believing that my body could heal itself. Those people for whom that is true - I am so happy for you. I guess it's important to listen to your intuition, and not be bullied into anything because someone else says it's right for you.
There are very important guidelines to avoid harming your body while doing the liver flush, and they need to be followed. For example, don't do it if you are acutely ill, or feeling very weak or depleted, don't do it more often than every three weeks, and always cleanse the colon before and after. It is so dangerous not to do this, so if you can't afford colonics, wait until you can. You can restore your electroylte balance the next day by drinking fresh or canned (but not sweetened) coconut water.
As for epsom salts, I have done all but one of my flushes with only the two evening doses of epsom salts, and nothing the next day except garlic enemas followed by coffee enemas. I think it is wise to take just one dose of epsom salts the first time, to find out how well your body tolerates it.
You can also use magnesium citrate instead.
