Has anyones drs. Said this could be caused by internal problems too?

Hi, I've gotten 2 tests back that said elevated liver enzymes and am having some joint pain and have a small malar rash over my nose and cheeks. I got this after an infection but there apparently is no more infection, so if all this being said, it ends up being lupus or some other liver/internal issue, do you/any doctors you've spoken to think that adressing and treating those problems would stop the EC? I have been told by an oral pathologst this is not an actual skin disease itself, more of a descriptive diagnosis. I've always suspected somethingn internal being a cause, but until now all bloodwork has been fine with no additional symptoms.. thanks for the input.
