Re: Saliva Test Result

I don't know the numbers that they should be. I had a test done months ago. My test is some where around here and after I find it I will post what I have found. In the mean time. did the lab call you> the did call me. And they had a note on mine. It said that because the cortisol shows low, that I should add a progestrone cream daily. It boosts the cortisol levels. I think progestrone makes cortisol. At the bottom of the test it should have the number that the cortisol should be at during times of the day. Is yours in the range or lower. It has a color wave in the area that the cortisol should be in between. Is it in those. It can be ion the range but low. almost out of the range. that is where mine is at. And I feel terrible. I did a question page about weak adrenal function and cortisol. I have all of the low cortisol symptoms. and my cortisol level is at the low edge. I did a tst because I have to get stress out of my life or low. I know there are many many things to take that say that they reduce stress. but many of them reduce the cortisol level........because most people have too high cortisol and stressed. I dont want to take one of those remedies. that would be terrible. I need to know things that reduce this stress but raise the cortisol. It does involve such a large amount of reading. I am using ashwaganda from I think Herb pharm. and rosemary essential oil and geranium essential oil from aura casia. I take ashwaganda by mouth. But do NOT take the other two by mouth. I add one drop of each to a tsp of olive or grapeseed oil and apply it to the skin on the adrenals area, above the kidneys. I rub it in my palm also a few times a day and smell it. read up on them. I wish luck with this
