Ja, and is also the reason why supplementing with hormones can be a bad idea.

It is like when people take synthroid, it tells the body that the body has enough Iodine and hinders the body's ability to absorb dietary iodine, the body fooled into thinking it has enough because the synthroid raised the Tx levels.

Same with supplementing, for example, DHEA, or any other material in the steroid tree. It fools the body into believing, in the case of DHEA for example, that the adrenals are making enough DHEA so it fools the body into stopping making more DHEA on its own. Rather than supplementing as in HRT, it is in my opinion better to detox the body so that the enzymes can function normally.
Fluoride is one of the worst enzyme inhibitors. Mostly, the enzymes contain metal ions in complexed form, and the over-abundance or lack of ingestion of proper nutrition affects enzyme levels.
