Testing for candidiasis, a new method
I have heard of the common symptoms and standard ways for testing for candida overgrowth:
Symptoms
1) jock itch or yeast infections
2) anal itching
3) severe allergies
4) thrush / white tongue
5) fungal smell on skin
6) athletes foot
7)
Sugar cravings
8) feeling like shit on a no
Sugar diet
9) kidney stones
10) diarrhea or constipation
11) lack of appetite
12) trouble sleeping
13) acne
14) gas that is odorless, commonly upon waking (smelly gas is from bacterias further up in your intestines) -- heard about in this forum, it happens to me as well
15) bad breath
etc. Yikes, that's a lot of symptoms.
tests:

17) blood test show high uric acid -- this is because of a shortage of good bcteria which absorb uric acid
18) low thyroid - tested with thermometer under arm pit
19) acidic urine or very alkaline according to some (ideally, urine should be slightly alkaline 6.8-7.6 as it fluctuates depending on what you eat)

but today I heard about a new test, the peanut butter test. have you guys heard of this?

Basically, you eat a spoon of peanut butter, wait 10 minutes and if you feel bloated and burping, that's the candida eating the sugary peanut butter. have you guys tried this? would love to hear about your results. Seems like it would be a pretty reliable test as long as the person didn't have peanut allergies.
Also, any other tests you can think of would be helpful for those new to candida as well as clarifications to my list (I've heard that stool test for candida are inconclusive as candida is normal in stool).
