Iodine on possible melanoma

Hello

I got Iodine on 5% solution and I am applying it to the skin and it stings. Besides that, I haven't seen any adverse reaction to it.

However, I have some doubts. The indications say for Veterinary use and the components are said to be 95% etílic alcohol and 5g metallic iodine. It advices to use gloves prior application to clean places where animals live.
