Thyroid Nodulesss

Hey CZ community. Couple of quick questions in regards to Thyroid Nodules. I went to my Endo today, and he said I had Thyroid Nodules. Anyone have experience with this? I am going to have them Ultrasounded soon, to be certain that they aren't cancerous. I am only 25, and was a bit scared when he mentioned this. What causes these anyways? Should I be worried??
