P5P Pharmacology/Absorption
I found the Rx drug that's out, based on its having P5P & a few other vitamins.
It's called METANX by Pamlab, & from its product circular comes this interesting piece about how P5P is absorbed & changed in the gut to its ultimate active pyridoxal molecule (phosphate stripped off). Cost seems to be $75-$90/mo for Rx; I assume that's one pill per day!:

Metanx is the brand name of a multivitamin manufactured by Pamlab. Each Mentax tablet contains 25 mg of vitamin B-6, 2.8 mg of folic acid and 2 mg of vitamin B-12. Generally, these vitamins work by increasing the blood flow to your nerves. Mentax is a prescription medication, only available under a doctor's supervision.

Pyridoxal-5′-phosphate (PLP) is the active form of vitamin B6 and is used as the prosthetic group for many of the enzymes where this vitamin is involved. PLP is readily absorbed by the intestine by a process which is preceded by dephosphorylation to form pyridoxal. The phosphate group is regained during passage through the intestine. Pyridoxine, the parent compound of PLP and the most frequently used form of vitamin B6, requires reduction and phosphorylation before becoming biologically active. The PLP in Metanx® contains 25mg of pyridoxal (the active component of PLP).
