The only way to get off the meds is to solve your problems with either meditation or prayer.
Depression is caused by your mind hosting re-occuring thoughts of sadness. If you could clear your mind of all thoughts (especially during the times when you realize your mind is hosting thoughts of sadness) then you would not suffer for long or at all from depression.
A mind clear of thoughts is not a mind that can suffer from depression.
Headaches can be handled similarly because headache pain is tied to a thought your mind is hosting. Without this thought of pain (a though of headache pain) you would not be conscious of the pain.

I have not taken any prescripton or over the counter drugs for more than 10 years because instead I rely on meditation. I do regularly drink coffee and occationaly (once every three to four months) have a glass of wine or a beer.
