Re: yeppers
I'll never forget my early enthusiasm with
Iodine supplementation and wanting to convert everyone I know. I've learned to share when asked, now, and I certainly don't get attached, emotionally, on whether or not I'm heard.
I abhor all of the cancer walks and fundraisers. In October in the U.S. we are deluged with pink products, I saw a PINK kitchenaid mixer. Atrocious.
One big problem is that "they" have made it a requirement to support all of this. "They" have put a human face on all of this, and it's in our faces constantly.
Funds for pharmaceutical companies are raised by our sisters, neighbors and co-workers. If we choose not to donate, we are rejecting PEOPLE. Or so it seems.
"They" have also made the "fight" a good thing. THEIR fight. The chemo, cut and burn fight. There are tons of support groups and products that cater to the cancer industry. I am not saying that these brothers and sisters of ours should NOT be "supported", I am saying that this support is a facade. This support is the human face that keeps this multi-billion dollar industry running.
Tony Isaacs has written extensively on this.
