The metal straw was a gift from an old housemate that saw me going through straws like crazy. I only mentioned the material because I was talking about drinking hot tea. I do favor using as little plastic as possible for several reasons, but I don't think leeched plastic is related to the condition.

Yeah, Vunk, take a break from the obsessiveness and anxiety here if you feel it might help you. Really the only people commenting here should be people interested in collaborating and commiserating.
