During heavy periods of infection for me, I would often wake up at the same time in the middle of the night and not be able to get back to sleep.

What is odd, is that it is almost the exact same time every night, like a plot in a ghost movie. My first infection it was around 2:15am. My second, it was around 3am, and my third it was around 3:15-3:30. Like clock work, every night. This would continue until I felt my infection was down.

I can't answer for other parasites, only my experience with worms. They adapt to your habits, as well as influence them. If you normally eat at 9am, and then don't eat at 9am, your stomach growls. From the time we are children, you are taught to think this meant you are hungry. I no longer beleive that. It is the worms telling you they are hungry.
