Re: Found guilty

The scene can suggest a situation involving time (clock) or an alarm or warning (bell); a warning that may or may not be associated with a specific time or place. It seems implied in this scene that while a warning may be sounded at a specific time or place (when they are ringed), time moves on and perhaps also the perception of a warning continues or needs to continue. [This could imply that the warning might have applied to a specific situation but it might also be an issue of a kind that occurs as time goes on. (the clock or bell hadn’t stopped its movement when they are ringed) Being next to the clock/bell might suggest that your closeness to an issue does not allow you to see it objectively.

“When things got to a still point” might simply imply a time when you no longer sense that “time is ticking” or no longer obtain a sense that the timing of an alarm is an issue. It is only then that you can accuse yourself of some crime. (found guilty) The crime here relates to murdering a kid. This would imply destroying a thought or feeling so that it no longer seems valid (as it is now dead and gone). The aspect of yourself that has been emotionally devastated by this act appears to be an innocent one. (a kid) The kid can imply that the kind of idea that you are guilty of destroying is one that you may have thought of in terms of “I must be kidding myself”. [Note that this way of thinking is not limited to any one place or time. In addition it causes a loss of confidence in one’s own thoughts and ideas.]

Not wishing to have a picture taken portraying you as guilty of this crime, would imply not wishing the idea of this guilt to remain as an unchanging image of you.. Covering your face with your hands would imply not wanting your self identity associated with this type of crime. There is an aspect of yourself (the reporter) that might wish to give an account of a situation as if were ”news to you. By wanting the picture taken next to the bell or clock it could be implied simply that your crime be
seen in relation to time and perhaps to the warnings or alarm you have already heard.

[Could there also be an issue re: the biological clock ticking – or possibly an abortion which would be considered the killing of a child.?]
