Iodine help please

HI - I have been taking Iodine for a bit over 3 weeks. Started @ 12.5mg first week, increased to 25mg second week, now at 37.5mg since Tuesday. I am hypo with hashimotos and 1/2 thyroid.

Anyway, yesterday I had pain in thyroid down to chest, had a hard time sleeping, had heart palp in night. This morning feel pain in thyroid and down in chest. if i breath in hard it is painful. my face became swollen yesterday afternoon and still is.

Any thoughts? I didn't take the Iodine this morning. sort of afraid to! i am taking selenium, vit c, and b complex.
