Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections

I suffered many years post menopause from recurrent UTIs. My doctor put me on long term Antibiotic medication. This did not seem ideal and I sought help from a herbalist. In spite of a lot of various herbal medicines, the problems persisted. Going on an alkalising diet helped to control the infections a little, but my diet became very restricted and if I ate anything acidifying I was punished with a UTI. I researched numerous forums and websites for a solution. I don't know what led me to Cysticlean, but I found this supplement online and decided to try it without any real expectations. Cysticlean is described as a dietary food supplement made from 100% concentrated cranberry extract and the manufacturers say it is formulated to guarantee 118 mgs of PAC (proanthocyanidins)-type A which is credited with preventing bacteria from adhering to the bladder walls which causes infection. I have been taking Cysticlean for three months now as directed by the manufacturers and I have been infection free and have not needed Antibiotics . I eat and drink a wide variety of foods without anything triggering infection. This product has transformed my life yet I have not come across anyone recommending it anywhere except the manufacturer's webpages, which hardly seems impartial. Has anyone else found this remedy such an unmitigated success? I feel so well now and cannot believe there is any side effect or contraindication to taking this long term. Why is this not more broadly recommended or known about by doctors, particularly in the UK where I live? I would like to know about other people's experience of this product.
