Re: Intro and questions about saliva test validity, plus female hormone tests

Thanks for the response.

Here are those results with lab ranges:

CORTISOL
6-8am 9.5 Reference range 13.0 - 24.0
12pm 2.4 5.0-8.0
4pm 2.9 4.0 - 7.0
10pm 3.9 1.0 - 3.0
CORTISOL SUM 18.7 23.0 - 42.0
DHEA-S Average 5.12 2.00 - 10.00
Cortisol/DHEA-S Ratio 3.7 5.0 - 6.0

I'm wondering if the adaptogens I was on at the time of the test would have significantly altered the results. I'm especially interested to know if such herbs would further lower cortisol during the day. If so, I shouldn't be taking them at all. But they do help to manage the hypoglycemia.

But it seems I do have low day cortisol/high night cortisol, according to my symptoms (except for the fact that I'm gaining weight).

The insomnia and hypoglycemia are horrible. I feel like I have to eat and cook CONSTANTLY.

I'll look into the Wilson practitioners.

Thank you.
