Product Design Solution For Those With Minor Knee Injuries. Feedback Wanted!

Hi all,

I'm a product design student from the UK and wanted your thoughts and suggestions on a final year project I'm working on.

The initial idea is a system between physiotherapist and patient. For the physiotherapist to gather feedback on the patients rehabilitation in the period where they do not see them. Such as range of movement, whether the patient is over using the injured knee, performing exercises set etc. This would be gathered through the use of a an "intelligent" knee brace or knee support. The brace/support would also be integrated with a method of pain relief such as a cold compress.

If you have any other problems with knee braces/supports I would love to hear them as I would not only be designing the system which allows communication but the actual knee brace/support itself.

My design work and thought process are currently in very early stages, so any advice and feedback that could help shape my idea would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you,

Helena.
