First I would like to say thank you for this website. It has helped me so much. Now my story. It started over a year ago that I started to feel really dizzy and light headed. My arms and legs would tingle and sometimes not feel like I could move them without really focusing. I went to my doctor and she ran some tests and said my blood sugar was a little low. She said I should eat more often. I was not willing to take that as an answer so she referred me to a Internal med. doctor. Without even doing any test he said I was going to be diabetic and probably be on insulin someday. That day I got more tests done also got an ultrasound done of my pancreas and liver. He said I might have reactive hypoglycemia. This is also with no test results back yet. He tried to put me on steroids. I would not take them. I got the test back later that week everything was fine. I did not go back to him. I researched reactive hypoglycemia and it said something about your hormones. It clicked my iud. So I looked online for side effects to find that women where having the same thing. Thank God! I called my obgyn and had it scheduled to be taken out. After two visits and me saying I have to have it out just to see if that's the problem. By the way at this point I felt like I was loosing my mind. I was not me. I'm crying right now even thinking about it. My husband had to pick me up from work because I would almost pass out and they wouldn't let me drive. He had to drive me everywhere and go to the store and doctors appt. with me. Anyway. I got the iud out at the end of May. I instantly felt relief from my left hip. I always had a pain there but thought i'm probably supposed to be having my period around this time since I didn't have it any more. Pain gone. I felt like this grogginess was gone too. I felt good for about a week then felt back to the same. My husband made my go to another doctor in June because I almost passed out at work again. I went and they said my heart rate was low so I had to wear a heart monitor for 2 days. After the results saying my heart rate was really low I had to get an ultrasound of my heart and wear another heart monitor for 2 weeks.Scaring me by saying I might have to have a pacemaker put in. After all that they then referred me to a cardiologist where I had a stress test done and another heart monitor. I talked to the cardiologist and he said for my age my heart was fine It went low and then high but it looked good. I told these doctors every time about the mirena and they never thought it was that. I knew it was the mirena the whole time even though no body would listen. I went to this website and would read and cry and just want to get better. I have had my Mirena IUD out for 8 months and feel at least 90% better. I have mostly good days and once in a while bad ones. I had really bad anxiety. I couldn't do anything. I felt sick all the time. It's the only thing people would talk to me about. How are you feeling? Now I never talk about it. I felt like a crippled zombie. Believe me. You know your body If you think it is the mirena and you have any of these side effects get it out. It will be the best thing you can do. Then just give it time. I know this was long by I've waited till I felt better so I could write something encouraging to help someone else.
