Harsh iodine cleansing effects.
First post here. I just found curezone a few days ago. A big THANK YOU to the site owners, sysops, contributors, writers, and all concerned.
My wife finally decided to try iodine supplementation. 2 weeks ago I gave her 2 drops of Lugol's 5% and she coughed up phlegm early the next day until she gagged and vomited. Last night I gave her ONE drop of 2.2% Lugol's with the same result.
My suspicion is that she's so dehydrated that her kidneys are unable to flush the toxins displaced by the iodine (she drinks little water and lots of Coke). I suggested doing a salt push this morning, but she insisted she had to go to church. I'm hoping somebody will lay hands on her and pray that her dietary/nutritional habits will vastly improve. (I say that in jest, but hey, one can always hope!)
I got started down this path just over a month ago after downloading a free copy of Dr. Sircus' book on sodium bicarbonate for my Kindle, followed by the purchase of his book on transdermal magnesium. I'm seeing wonderful improvements in mood and energy levels, arthritic issues, hair and skin, and more. Baking soda, magnesium, and iodine were just my starting point, but I don't want to get too far off track here...
My wife is 59 years old and at least 59 pounds overweight. She suffers from migraines and fibromyalgia and has been given various prescription drugs that have likely done more harm than good. About 3 years ago she had a perforated sinus (from a root canal) and was given progressively stronger antibiotics after surgery to close the perforation. The last straw was severe edema and pain in the legs and knees from one of the newer heavy-duty antibiotics (don't recall the name of the drug, but it's a known potential side effect). She finally got relief from the sinus problems using salt/bicarbonate rinses. In a nutshell, she's overweight, dehydrated, and very toxic. She has started using topical magnesium oil and occasional baths with bicarbonate and magnesium chloride.
While I suspect a salt push will relieve or lessen her current symptoms, I fear it may worsen her dehydration uless I can get her to drink less coke and more water.
Sorry to get so long-winded here. At this point I mainly want to know if my suspicion of dehydration causing a stronger detox reaction is even partially correct.
Thanks, Mark
