Taking an SSRI with liver problems.

Hi I don't know if I cross posted in incorrect forums, but I tried to include other conditions I have in case it is relevant. To cover them all I have candida overgrowth, adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism, depression, anxiety, pancytopenia, and the more recently realized one is some kind of liver problem. I realized I'm having liver problems when my candida stopped detoxing even in the presence of antifungals and I started to get chest pains and one night felt something slowly pass from my chest into my abdomen. I also saw improvement and got die off when drinking warm lemon juice and have a lot of other liver symptoms (numb tounge, headaches with nausea, feeling lethargic and drained in the morning, recent acne outbreaks).

A few weeks ago I came to the realization that a lot of my physical symptoms and emotional problems are related to depression and anxiety and got on the path to taking care of it. I had to wait a while but I saw my psychiatrist on the 15th and she prescribed me trazadone and an effexor. The trazadone worked great a couple times. I felt alive again and my mood was great, could get my work done with no problem and was feeling myself and had tons of more energy with highly reduced physical symptoms (fatigue being the main one). The problem is is that it only worked those 2 times (the initial dose, and the lowered dose 2 nights later). The other 4 times I had psychotic symptoms and it was unbearable. I'm thinking that due to my liver problems, the drug was building up too fast in my system and I was having symptoms of an overdose. When I cut down I went from 75mg to 50mg and theres no lower dose so there's not much I can do.

With how good I felt those two days that trazadone worked properly, I know I need to address my mental health before I can do anything. So about the ssri's. My doctor prescribed effexor and I was scared of taking it because of all the bad hype on the web and from friends, so I'm going to probably start zoloft tomorrow, since both my mom and grandma did good on it. I'm just worried about having the same problem with zoloft as I did with trazadone. Has anybody taken an ssri with liver problems (I think mine is fatty or toxic because of repeated candida die off for a year)? I'm guessing I could take the lowest dose every two days, but there's no way of knowing if that would let enough out of my system in the right timeframe to get a safe dose. I have no conclusive evidence that I have liver problems because I don't have the insurance to get testing done, so my psychiatrist wouldn't believe me if I told her I had liver issues. I'm just looking for advice from someone who may have gone through this. I was fighting being medicated by a shrink for a long time but after the breif relief I got last week, I know I need some kind of medication (especially since nothing holistic has worked). If someone can give me reccommendations on what to do I'd really appreciate it. I feel like I'm at a turning point and If I can get the right perscription with the right dosing, I'll be able to function again and tackle the rest of my health problems more easily. Thanks, sorry for the long post.
