Skin Problems

I have had eczema off and on since I was a child and extremely dry skin since grade school. The past few years my skin has gotten much worse with a lot of flaking. Then this past spring I developed redness, flaking and swelling under both eyes. There was burning and itching too. Doing research online, found the name is peri orbital dermatitis. If it's around the mouth it's called peri-oral dermatitis. Initially I thought it was allergies but couldn't figure out what. After reading a book about it before Christmas I gave up wheat about 5 weeks ago. My dry, flaky skin has gotten SO much better since then. Also, the rash under my eyes is 99% better. Hope this helps somebody. It is a challenge to eliminate wheat since it is so prevalent in the food supply, but it can definitely be done.
