Re: Hailey56, how is your daughter doing?
Hi ladies, thanks so much for the messages. Hope you are all doing well. Sorry I am just now replying! I wish I could say my daughter was 'healthy and wonderful' but she is still having a lot of post/mirena health problems. Lately it's been horrible migraines that have lasted days, extreme fatigue, along with the normal anxiety and leg pain/numbness in left arm, but the leg pain/burning has gotten much better. They did another MRI recently because of the headaches and the results were'normal' but she is going to another neurologist soon. I don't expect he will be able to tell her much. No one can really say 'what' is wrong with her, but I know whatever damage has been done it was from the Mirena. It all went downhill from there and is happening to so many other women. I just wish she didn't have it so long, and we figured it out sooner. She is certainly doing 'better' now than when she had the mirena and that first year after removal, she is now around 16 months post removal. When I think back to those times, it makes me remember how sick she was! Her hair was falling out in clumps, she couldn't walk, lost so much of her vision in one eye, and was in so much pain and was having panic attacks all the time. She is still sick a lot, but nothing like back then, and she is a teacher so is able to work now. Gradually she has improved but some symptoms just continue to plague her. Hopefully in time she will continue to improve. Best wishes to all of you, I think of you all often. Hang in there and stay strong! Hailey
