Re: Evolving Bromhidrosis?

I know how hard this problem could be it's very hard physically and emotionally but what could we do but be strong and keep moving and try to find answers.

ForeverOptamistic- I have also did a food allergy test and it come out that I was allergic to several foods including gluten. I have tried the low choline diet but it didn't help but it makes sense I took a TMAU test and it come back negative! Have you got tested? My problem mainly is around my period which I have dr appointment next week with obgyn. Now I am doing gluten free dairy free and it seems to help but it's hard to tell since I can't smell myself. I just have been trying to eat a well balanced diet avoid food that I am sensitive to and drink plenty of water. I have also stopped taking the many supplement I was taking. I am very determined to find out what's wrong with me I only had this severe odor this past summer.

Badluckbeauty- I am so sorry that you are having a hard time and not having any support system could be very hard. Have you been tested for TMAU? It's very hard trying to fix a problem that you don't know. The best advice I could give you would be to first get tested for TMAU! Since you mentioned you had this problem since childhood. If that comes out negative you can move to the next thing. When I first start having this issue I went to the dr but when they didn't take me seriously I got the TMAU test on my own. While waiting for the result I got food allergy test. Odor issues could be very frustrating especially when you are trying to find out what's wrong all on your own. At first I was reading all the things online and trying to do what others were saying. I think I caused my body more harm by trying certain supplement and diets.
So please get tested and you are so young you have time to make up for all the missed time. I wish you luck and I hope in this new year you find some answers.

I hope we all find answers this new year:-) let's keep sharing information but please let us not self diagnose. I know drs don't take us seriously but we should just keep seeing different drs until we find the one to help us.

Until then all we could do is eat healthy drink plenty of water and hope and pray:-)
