Surgery DURING an extended water fast?

I am having a fairly simple hardware removal (screw) from my ankle on monday. By then I will be on day 11 of a 30 day water fast.

Is there any danger in my continuing my fast and not eating/drinking anything caloric in preparation for my surgery? I thought I would heal faster if I continued the fast. I just asked the anesthesiologist to go easy on the anesthesia bc I'm fasting and she said if I dont eat SOMETHING she wont do my surgery.

Is there danger in my not eating and getting anesthesia (reduced dose?)

Please advise.

I can do a bit of juicing for sat and sun if necesary, but I'd rather not break my fast if I dont have to.
