Since two months my father(55yo) started to develop a strange type of high blood pressure. The last one was yesterday. He wakes up at night between 22:00 and 23:00 with a surging high blood pressure 150/95, nausea, headache, vertigo. These episodes last for 20-40 mins. I think it's not a panic attack or something similar. Maybe hidden infection?
My father is very healthy and works hard job on merchant vessels without problem. He don't take any prescribed drugs and he was on Iodine procol for 1.5 years. Now he takes variety of supplements without asking many questions - selenium, magnesium, Lugol, zinc, C, MSM and feels great during the day.
So does anyone has any explanations about why this sudden night high blood pressure happens?
