Yours sounds a lot like mine although mine mostly only flares up during pregnancy which is my current issue. I tried everything my doctor suggested. Then when nothing worked I went to a homeopathic doctor. the best things I've found for reducing the rash and itchyness are reducing caffeine intake, no fried foods, minimal refined sugars, taking cod liver oil capsules, molasses(one teaspoon a day) and cocoa butter. I'm going to give the tomato juice a try and I'll let you all know how it turns out :)
