Life span of one candida cell/colony?

Have you seen any research that shows the Lifespan of one candida cell/colony?
... Trying to connect this with how long a candida cell/colony can adapt or develop resistance toward something before it dies off.. ?

I've noticed with certain anti-fungals such as coconut oil they seem to be very effective for about a week or so and then it just kind of loses its effectiveness. A few other anti-fungals have been like this as well...Lufenuron etc..

Example: Someone takes caprylic acid for 2 weeks. It works great for about 2 weeks and then it just all the sudden stops working. How long would you have to wait before you can reintroduce caprylic acid again with efectiveness?

Maybe this correlates with the lifespan of the candida cells/colony?
