the reason for an empty stomach

elemental Iodine in liquid is much better taken on an empty stomach(no food) and plenty of water. if you dont like the taste you can put the Iodine in a capsule and chase with plenty of water. you can also mix up a "shot" of water and Iodine and slam that with a big water back to chase it.

the reason for taking KI only on an empty stomach is only if thats all you have and need elemental in your system. KI naturally converts back and forth in the body but i am not sure on what scale. the acid in an empty stomach will release some elemental for absorption into the bloodstream. otherwise, KI is unaltered by taking it with anything, food, juice and all.
