I have a very similar story to yours, except I didn't contract them in 1969, at least I don't think so. I believe I got them in Dominican Republic in 2011. I am so sick--I urinate these worms out every 2-3 months after excruciating pain and itching internally. ID doctors at Cleveland and Vandy basically said I'm crazy, even though I provide them with specimens. The ID is always drain fly larvae or flea larvae. They claim these things can't possibly reproduce in the human body, yet I have repeated episodes like this for over a year. I have suspected my water, too, but then my whole family would be sick, right? I don't know what to do either. I want to take the meds-- I want to target them--but I don't truly know what they are or what will be most effective!
