Re: Dr Dennis What do you recommend for Lactose Intolerance?

do you agree with the following:

any adverse digestive reaction to milk could be considered intolerance. Its a damaged gut and gut flora {KTL READERs Note: Gut flora are bacterium and yeast that live in the digestive system}. v arious things can disrupt the equilibrum and cause numerous health problems. from an industrial diet that causes it. most people will say that x amount of the population of the world doesnt have the gene to produce the enzyme to digest milk. Common Error. With rare exception, everyone is born with the gene to produce the enzyme known as lactase, but if you were to stop drinking milk after weaning your body from it it will cease expressing the gene in response to the lack of it in the environment. However when the lactose is re-introduced, the enzyme will then begin to express again, keep in mind that unless you are specifically trying to activate lactase enyzme , you will experience all the experiences of discomfort and dismiss milk as not meant for us or poison or whatever, so real world examples are probably few.

a problem can also be seen with casein as it can be confused with lactose intolerance.

When it comes to lactose and casein , butter which has been clarified , would be the lowest

Raw milk has Bacterium that produce Lactase, Lactase is the enzyme that is missing in Lactose Intolerence, Lactase splits the 2 galactose bonded Lactose together) into it's absorbable form (galactose), so, there is a high probability that Raw Milk will be tolerated

other products such as kefir and yogurt will reduce the amount of lactose as the bacteria feed on the sugar.

If you have the same problems with Raw Milk or well cultured yogurt/kefir that's likely a casein problem in which case the next alternative would be to find milk that has a sub-type of casein that is less detrimental to you health.
