Lugols and CS to the rescue..again with Neem and reishi

I woke up Saturday with a sore throat.. very sharp pain. I hunted for an empty spray bottle and filled it with cs and A LOT of lugos (2%). I sprayed my throat and immediately was in MORE pain from the lugols. But after the pain of the Lugols abated, my throat pain was a little better. I made another bottle of CS and Lugols with a less Lugols and tested.. much better, no pain but I could still taste the lugols. I then grabbed my bottles of neem and reishi mushrooms. (Neem and Reishi are my go-to remedies for viral illnesses. I discovered long ago, how powerful neem was in breaking up seemingly intractable congestion.) I immediately took 6 of each and sat down with my morning coffee. My throat was so sore that the hot coffee was painful.. but I persevered, I must have my morning coffee! After a little while I started coughing and brought up a small amount of phlegm. I sprayed my throat a couple of more times and got dressed and headed off to Vitamin Shoppe to replenish my supply of Neem which was almost gone after my hubs and daughter had taken it for their colds a few weeks ago. I came home and took more neem and reishi and sprayed my throat. I continued to do this every few hours. By evening, my throat was no longer as sore. By morning, my sore throat was gone. I'll continue spraying my throat with CS/lugols and taking the neem and reishi over the next several days.

I also boosted my D3 intake. I normally take 5,000iu daily, but when sick, I take 1,000iu per pound of body weight for 3-5 days. I have Biotech's D3 50,000iu (Amazon has it) so it is easy to take large therapeutic doses.

It sucks being sick on Christmas, but hopefully I'll be well by Tuesday. Already today (Sunday), my throat feels about 70% better. It is no longer sore but it still feels tender when I swallow.
