Type 1b H. Clark Liver flush report (on insulin)
I'm reporting on my personal case. I felt like doing a liver cleanse, had some of the right materials in the kitchen, so juiced four organic oranges, mixed that with 1.5 cl of extra virgin olive oil (1/2 cup), and 500mg niacin (full flushing.
I chose niacin because I had no
Black-Walnut tinctiture or ornithine. Niacin speeds the uptake of healthy fats (the olive oil), dilates blood vessels (capilaries) across the board throughout the body, and also dilates blood vessels in the liver. My logic was-- well, Niacin also helps contribute to sleep and good neural health. I've been using it for two weeks now in smaller doses.
8:00 pm I had my first 1/4rth of 7.5cl (~ 3 cups) of water mixed with 3.5 tbsp of
Epsom Salts . My BG was 10.0, I was dosing normally for it. Other than the
Epsom Salt water tasting awful, I felt normal.
10:00 pm I had my second glass of
Epsom Salt blech. It went down okay, though I did have a momentary ick-heave (I thought about it a little too much). After this one, I started almost immediately feeling watery, sleepy, weaving gently left and right.. My BG had dipped to 2.6, so I just knocked my insulin-pump basal rate down to 30%, and went on with life. Yes, magnesium does greatly enhance insulin sensitivity.
I use vit D3 5000 iu in olive oil daily with about 1,000 mg of magnesium, besides the other vitD3 cofactors, zink, boron, etc. Not on the day of this flush, but yeah, pretty much daily.
11:45 pm I drank the whole slightly gloopy mix of OJ,
Extra-Virgin Olive-Oil (extra virgin olive oil) and Niacin. It didn't really taste evil.. and I'm decently good at gulping things down. I did indeed lay down right after murping up small bubbles from my stomach, and waited for sleep. It took just a little while- after all, a niacin flush has it's sensations! I slept just fine after that.
At 5:30 am I woke up with a slight high (driness), my BG was up at 7.4 from digesting the oils (fats digest at 33% of the total fat content being converted to glucose in the intestines, over about 5 hours), so I dosed, drank a little water after a pee, and have been puttering around lightly since then.
6:30 PM I had my third glass of
Epsom Salt water. Adding 1/8th of a teaspoon of sodium ascorbate (vitamin C powder) did nothing for the flavor. >.< . It is true, you're not hungry or any somesuch when you follow this flush.
The fourth portion of my ES water is waiting for 8:30 am, in it's innocency sitting there in my glass, looking like normal water. Hubby, do not pick it up, I don't wanna have to explain why you just tasted what seems like motor oil..
I have indeed been more or less on a complete
Bowel Cleanse since the middle of november. I've been using calcium
Bentonite internally as a perfect adsorbant (permanently-binding) material for clearing out heavy metal toxicity. My diabetes came on after two
Amalgam fillings as a teenager, and chronic, unexplainable insomnias after that. Betchew can't guess what did that? (Yes, magnesium and vitD helps insomnia right away, zinc is important too. Be careful, they set toxins out of the normal tissues they sit in, so eat lotsa healthy fiber to absorb it.)
It was quite interesting how my intestines react to the epsom salt water flushing! It gurgles, it burbles, it feels as if it goes soft.
Blessings to future readers,

I just had my fourth and final portion of the ES water. I've had dihorrea since then (slightly runny stomach) and some gas. My last BG reading was 8.4 (I've been up and awake), and so I bolused to cover the rise again. I think my insides are still trying to digest the olive-oil, oranje-juice mix- often if I don't give myself enough insulin at the right time, digestion simply stops and stalls. My tactic for dealing with this is using the bolus guide on my pump to see how much insulin I need to cover the high, and then doubling the bolus insulin so that further digestion is covered by it.
I've felt several lumps when on the toilet and passing what's in my stomach- water and lumps, really. There's some residue from where some of the olive oil has passed through (well.. it sunk. I don't know if that's heavy bile or fats). I don't have a toilet collander, so I'm not going to sift through my leavings (athankayouverymuch!) Otherwise... Just enjoying messing with some jeans I seam-ripped and am tailoring to fit me.

The
Liver Flush has given me juuust a hint of menses. I haven't had a cycle since the end of summer- about in august. That could be a very good thing! I'm following the
Liver Flush with borax, 1/8th of a teaspoon dissolved in hot water, diluted in one liter of water for the day. :) Good for balancing hormones, maintaining a low-fungus alkiline environment, and retaining calcium and magnesium.
