My Dad's homemade eggnog:

5 eggs, separated
3 c milk
5 T superfine sugar
3/4 c whiskey or brandy or rum

Beat the egg whites.
Add Sugar and beat.
Add yolks and beat.
Add milk and beat.

Add whiskey when serving.
