I am so excited about the benefits of prayer and fasting... I so desire to grow spiritually and to have a healthy body.

I am most excited about these things too and i believe that fasting with prayer has been an exceedingly important factor in all the Lord has been doing in my life. 

The longest fast I have completed was about 5 days.

I will be doing a 10 day water only fast starting on Novemeber 26, which is tomorrow, thru December 6.

It is great to meet another person who desires fasting unto the Lord and to see your plan.   I actually am very close to beginning my next fast under a very strong leading and i pray i will be led into 40 days.   I don't expect mine to start any later than december 1, so i will be joining you for part of yours.  I will be happy to support you in any way i can.

I plan to live a fasted life. This simply means that I will fast often. I have successfully completed 1 day fasts, 3 days fasts and a 5 day fast.
Other fasting goals I have are to complete a 21 day and a 40 day water only fast. I would like to do a 40 day fast once a year.
For now, I will focus on completing my 10 day fast which starts tomorrow.

These are great goals.  I have been living a spiritually fasted life over the past 11 months or so, mostly with 5 days of dry fasting per month (some of them split in two with water in between) and also a 20 day water-only fast which was completed about 2.5 or 3 months ago.   A 40 day fast unto the Lord once a year sounds like an amazing goal and maybe i would seek the same.
