Re: sibo
Hi Lalobear- I just had my last appt and summary with my doc here in Mexico. He feels that most chronically ill people have leaky gut/sibo. This is where he begins his treatment program with his clients. This certainly was true in my case.
I have been on secnidazole which is an anti-amebic combined with albendazole. I have taken far more than a doc in Canada would give. This combo has been very effective. I plan on doing a one week maintenance every month for a full year just to make sure. Anti parasitic drugs are plentiful and cheap here with no needed prescription.
I also feel that I have had the sibo for many, many years. It is extremely tenacious and can survive any type of diet. I have used huge amounts of herbs, especially cat's claw(4 caps per meal),probiotics and raw garlic without success. I have also tried the high doses of GB3- 3 per meal with no success.
This is where I feel NB falls short and doesn't encourage their clients to seek outside help to cure their chronic infections. I know I would be dragging along with this for another decade if I hadn't found the major stressor in my body.
I have recovered about 25% in about 3 weeks. The improvement is so dramatic it is quite astonishing. I have not felt this well in 20 years. I am walking over 2 hours each day and I feel very strong. Next week I am joining a gym and will start doing some resistance training.
