Lymph node system movement direction

The lymph system is supposed to drain toward the heart? What if I have a possible infection and my lymph node swells up somewhere else? Like my chest is swollen and then lymph nodes start flaring up toward my armpit which is slightly away if this a bad sign? Tweet
