The Egyptions made the first agressive move by throwing the peace keeping forces out of the buffer zone.
Then put their own army in the same buffer zone. [Could be and was deemed to be an aggressive move.]
Then they moved this army closer to the Israeli border. Definately an aggressive move, that would prompt any reasonable person tt take the offense. If you get into a hassle with somebody, and they keep moving closer into your space, you would be advised to do the same thing, or expect to get head butted, punched, or worse. There is absolutely no reason for this aggression on their part unless they are about to attack, and the generals did their job in making the appropriate decision to take the first move.
