Please respond only if you have you been treated and "cured" of the amoeba e. histolytica.

I suffered for 1.5yrs before dx of amoeba e histolytica. I was treated with Flagyl and luminal agent paromomycin (Humatin) following. I was told that the amoeba is now killed (after waiting 5 weeks after completion of medication for re-test). I am about 70% better. It is now 2 months since completion of treatment however I still have two a few symptoms, the largest concern is that my bowl movements are still not "normal". I define normal as how they were before becoming sick 1.5yrs ago (always "perfect" as defined by pictures and what medical professions list as what is "normal".

I would like to hear from someone who has been successfully treated for amoeba e histolytica. Can you please tell me, 1- did you have any other dx at the same time? and 2- how long did it take for ALL symptoms to go away? I am trying to figure out if I contracted something else at the same time and still have that or if my body will take a long time to completely heal...maybe the amoeba e histolytica damaged my insides?
