Re: Ashwagandha Powder or Tincture
Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb (it tends to 'regulate' rather than force an action). However, when folks have extreme adrenal issues, sometimes it causes anxiety (or other similar symptoms of "stimulation"). I've never heard of it's 'calming effect' (which is actually just soothing the fight/flight feelings that come so often with adrenal issues), causing anything like "fatigue". But I have read quite a bit about how Ashwaganhda increases stamina. The name is translated to "strength or sweat of a horse" (and that's how it tastes to me too). But taste doesn't have anything to do with whether we use an herb or not. If you're having trouble with the taste, "EFT it away" :)
When an herb is beneficial, it typically feels beneficial & helpful. When an herb is not beneficial, it typically feels like it's creating more symptoms, making you worse or having no effect. No one can tell you how it's working for you.
For most, the tincture seems to be faster-acting, but the effects don't last as long. The powder seems slower to 'kick in', but seems to last longer.
